Ferdinand Pettrich (1798-1872) was a renowned German sculptor celebrated for his portrait busts of political figures & Native Americans like Tecumseh. He worked in Europe, the US, and Brazil, later becoming Court Sculptor to Emperor Dom Pedro II.
