georg mayer marton (1897 - 1960)

Georg Mayer-Marton (1897-1960) was a Hungarian Jewish artist known for his oil, watercolor & graphic works in Vienna between the wars. He pioneered Byzantine mosaic in the UK and created poignant art reflecting themes of exile and loss.
