The studio of the Haarlem painter Pieter Frederik van Os, the teacher of Mauve. The room later became the Old Room at the Town Hall in Haarlem. For a fireplace a kneeled figure looks at a passepartout with drawings. On the left side of the wall are several drawings with nude studies and a painting of a landscape. Above the fireplace an antler.
