Hendrik Martenszoon Sorgh (1610 – 1670)
Hendrik Maertensz Sorgh fue un pintor holandés de la Edad Dorada conocido por sus escenas domésticas llenas de detalle y dramatismo, especialmente obras como "El Guitarrista" y "Ésau Vendiendo su Derechos Hereditarios". Su estilo barroco capturó la vida cotidiana con sensibilidad artística.
The lute player. In a room a young man plays on the lute for a woman sitting and listening at a table. On the table a bowl with fruit, bread, a jar and an open music book. On the floor a dog and a cat, on the wall hangs a painting by Pyramus and Thisbe.
