Johannes Lingelbach (1622 – 1674)
Johannes Lingelbach (1622-1674) fue un pintor holandés del Siglo de Oro conocido por sus vivaces escenas romanas y paisajes, parte del movimiento Bamboccianti. Influenciado por Caravaggio, sus pinturas de género son muy buscadas.
The entrance to the Kapitol with the white horse of the newly elected Pope, accompanied by a priest with a cross. In the foreground the flooded crowd, left sheep at the quay of the river. On the right the steps of the Kapitol with the large statues on footage of horses. In the distance other buildings of Rome: the Angel castle and the dome of Saint Peter.
