      Cpmpositions with Masks

      The composition consists of five semi-abstract forms, which are: an animal, a human figure, and objects with various types of horns or being crowned by some sort of conical shape. They are situated next to one another on the intensely blue backdrop, imposing a strong horizontal division of the image, completed by the stripes of brown and black embracing the central square from the top and bottom. The first figure represents a horse twisted as it’s emerging from the background; it stands out slightly from the remaining elements interconnected by a flowing line of their contour. On the right, there is a depiction of a child or perhaps a puppet with a tall pointy hat nearly touching the top edge of the image. Next to the puppet there is a spinning-top with a similar pointy crown, and next to it there is a bulbish little form resembling a vessel and a mask with two horns at the end of the line. All those forms are filled with gaudy, bright patterns in orange, yellow, blue, green and black, painted with smooth strokes of the spontaneously improvised visual fantasy trying to charm the humdrum of reality.
