In 2016 the State Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw has been working on a project of re-packing whole Cholewa collection into new packagings: separate cotton-paper PAT-certified envelopes for each negative. Once re-packed, each negative is going to be placed in a designated acid-free boxes. Additionally, 200 most damaged, yet still very valuable due to the contents, glass negatives is going to be cleaned, digitized and will be made available to see on the museum’s photoblog. The rest of the negatives will be also successively digitized after the project finishes. The project is funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as a part of the Collections - Priority Museum Collections project.
