Natural Series 2012-1 / Natural Series 2012-2
“Drifting like a seed, looking to land on the shore—as if it were home. Like a seed, returning to the earth…” Artist Li-Feng Lo returned to Taiwan in 2009 after living abroad for many years, and wondered how she managed to set out from the island in the first place. She is interested in how the natural world changes, and creates work based on the four seasons. Lo is influenced by American glass artist Dale Chihuly (1941- ), and her porcelain pieces are thin as glass and light as feathers. By learning to deal with the limits of the material and adopting an innovative mindset, Lo has discovered new and infinite possibilities in pottery art.
