Little Birds
13.0 x 11.0 cm
Museo de Huesca
These two little birds, facing each other very close together, are made from cut and folded iron plate. The folds resemble the origami technique, with the metal worked to create geometric planes in a cubist style. Ramón Acín Aquilué designed these birds for children, to watch over their games. He transformed them into a large-scale sculptural monument commissioned by Huesca City Council (Ayuntamiento de Huesca) for the Miguel Servet park in the provincial capital, in an area designed for children to use and enjoy.
