Cornelis de Man (1562-1638) was a Dutch Golden Age Northern Mannerist painter, known for detailed portraits, genre scenes & biblical works. A forerunner to Frans Hals, his art blends realism with Italian Renaissance influence.
The musical couple. Interior with a woman playing on a clove chord and a man playing on a lute. Left through the open window a face on the houses of a city. Next to the window is a mirror on the wall in which the face of the man is reflected.
