éric schwab (1910 – 1977)
Éric Schwab: French photographer documenting WWII atrocities & UN missions. Captures poignant moments in concentration camps & global health initiatives.
A vaccine was developed which, it was believed, gave protection against the new Asian influenza caused by a virus previously unknown. The vaccine had to be tested before large-scale production could begin, and would be injected into volunteers, including doctors and medical students. It was prepared at the Wright-Fleming Institute, part of St. Mary
