Galleria d'Arte Moderna Achille Forti (Verona, Italy)
The museum resides within Palazzo della Ragione – Verona’s iconic medieval building – creating a unique juxtaposition of eras and enhancing visitor experience.
Eugenio Prati (1889-1979) exhibited his works in the Verona exhibitions of Pro Assistenza Civica established after the Battle of Caporetto, gaining immediate attention in artistic and critical circles for the originality of his artistic approach, attested to by his friend and mentor, writer and poet Lionello Fiumi. After the war, Prati exhibited in numerous solo and group shows and worked on several war memorials. In 1926, he moved permanently to São Paulo, Brazil, where he devoted himself successfully to funerary art, which he had already tackled in Italy, and to sacred and monumental art.
