Seokdang Museum of Dong-A University
This eight-fold screen is the calligraphy work in which the calligrapher Changam Lee Sam-man (1770-1845) cursively wrote five pieces of the quatrain with five Chinese characters in each line, which was composed by Confucian scholar Chu Hsi in Sung China. Two carved seals ‘Changam’ and ‘Lee Samman’ were affixed in the lower left-hand corner of each fold. There was also the engraved initial seal affixed in the lower right-hand corner, but illegible now. Six characters of the last line are hardly visible. Apparently, there were two missing folds which bore an additional piece of the quatrain including such hardly visible phrase.
