Find a piece you would actually live with
Open any live lot to see it full size, with its medium, dimensions, current bid and exact closing time. Each lot is a single artwork: it is sold once and never repeated, so the one you are looking at is the only one.

Name your price
Every lot opens at $ 1, so your first bid can be that. You type the amount yourself and confirm it before it is placed — nobody can push you higher than you chose.

We tell you if you are outbid
You do not have to watch the clock. If someone outbids you an email arrives straight away, and you can come back and raise your bid — by at least $ 10 over the current one — any time before the auction closes.

The auction closes
Each auction runs 7 to 30 days, and the closing time is on the lot. The highest bid wins — on a tie, the earlier bid does. If you are not the winner, nothing is charged and nothing is owed.

There is no buyer's premium and no commission added at the end: your total is your winning bid plus shipping. The artwork is waiting in your cart, and you pay through the normal secure checkout within 7 days.

The questions people ask before their first bid
Is it safe to buy art at auction online?
Yes. You pay through the same secure checkout as any other order, never directly to a seller. Every lot is an artwork we have approved and photographed ourselves, the price you see is the price you pay, and you are never charged anything for bidding or for losing.
I have never bid on art before. Is this for me?
It is. There is no saleroom, no paddle and no jargon — you enter an amount and confirm it, the way you would any online purchase. You choose exactly what you bid, so you can never be pushed past your budget, and you need no art expertise to take part.
What does bidding start at?
Every lot opens at $ 1 — the fixed public starting price of every auction. There is no hidden minimum first bid.
How much must I raise the bid?
A new bid must beat the current bid by at least $ 10. The first bid only needs to meet the $ 1 opening price.
What do I pay if I win? Is there a buyer's premium?
No buyer's premium. If you win, you pay your winning bid plus the seller's worldwide shipping price shown on the lot — nothing else. Auctions run in US dollars.
What is a hidden reserve?
Some sellers set a private reserve price. It is never shown and never raises the bidding floor; it is only checked when the auction closes — if the top bid is below it, the lot simply does not sell.
What happens if I win?
You receive an email immediately and the artwork is placed in your shopping cart automatically. You then pay through the normal secure checkout within 7 days.
How long do I have to pay?
7 days from the close, with email reminders on day 3 and day 5. If a win is not paid in time it is released and the artwork returns to auction.
What happens if I am outbid?
You get an email straight away with a link back to the lot, so you can raise your bid any time before the auction closes.
How long does an auction run?
Each auction runs 7 to 30 days; the exact closing time is shown on the lot page. The highest bid at the close wins — on a tie, the earlier bid wins.
Can I bid on my own listing?
No. Sellers can never bid on their own lots.
Can I sell my own art at auction here?
Yes — approved sellers can put artworks under the hammer with a 7, 10, 14 or 30-day duration and an optional private reserve. A 10% platform fee applies to the winning bid.
