Still life with fishes, vegetables, cats and guinea pig
The various elements of the still-life are arranged on a large boulder with several steps. On the upper one there are several fishes, some lemons and, on the right, an elegant copper vase. On the lower plank are organized long courgettes, a clump of celery resting on an upside down wicker basket, a dozen onions inserted in a braid of rope and arranged in two rows, fishes and a basket with a lid and a handle. Live animals are also represented in the canvas: a dove resting on the celery, a guinea pig near the braid with onions, and, on the right, two cats. The still-life is set outdoors, but only summary indications of the place are given: trees with thick foliage, a mountain on the horizon and a clear and serene blue sky.
