Vermächtnis und Privatleben
Shee heiratete Mary, die älteste Tochter von James Power aus Youghal, im Jahr 1789. Er hatte drei Söhne, die erfolgreiche Barrister wurden, und drei Töchter. Zu Shees Nachkommen gehört George Archer-Shee, dessen Geschichte das Theaterstück "The Winslow Boy" von Terence Rattigan inspirierte. Shee verstarb am 13. August 1850 in Brighton und wurde in der westlichen Erweiterung des St. Nicholas Friedhofs beigesetzt.
