In this aerial view of an aspect of Olhão the houses are cut in the space, forming a white mantle of walls and chimneys from the Algarve, interrupted by the terraces, that mark its presence thanks to the orange hue, extend until a wide, where human notes are registered. In a corner there is a brick chimney that breaks the sky and communicates with a dark mountain and dense grove.Eduardo Viana is one of the greatest names of the Portuguese artistic avant-garde. Living in Paris in the beginning of the 20th century, Viana was one of the Portuguese artists who less followed artistic currents. With the outbreak of World War I, he returns to Portugal, and lived together with Sonia and Robert Delaunay, in Vila do Conde. This was the time when he definitely sought formal ways with artistic vanguards.
