“Figure in Blue (Woman with Two Long-Stemmed Flowers)” has strong echoes of secessionists typical of the contemporary artistic climate, derived from the attendance of Casarini of the Veronese studio of Felice Casorati. The female figure is declined in shades of blue, flanked on the sides by two long-stemmed flowers and framed by a red-white chessboard. The work is one of the five decorative panels sent to the first exhibition
