Magistralmente trabajada, como él solía hacerlo, muy a la manera de los pintores de la generación posterior a lo que fue llamada la Escuela Mexicana de Pintura, la obra muestra dos influencias muy diluídas, la de Diego Rivera y Fermín Revueltas, dos de los grandes maestros del muralismo. Se puede advertir también en esta escena una gran influencia del cine mexicano de los años cuarenta, entrelazando el campo y la ciudad industrializada.
