Antonio Sanfilippo was born in Taranto, Italy, in 1923. His artistic journey began with studies at the Palermo school of art, followed by training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. His work was showcased internationally, including exhibitions at the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York (1995) and various galleries in Buenos Aires and Córdoba.
