Early Life & Education: Born in Anaheim, California, in 1989, Camargo's formative years were marked by exposure to diverse cultural influences within Southern California’s Latinx diaspora. He honed his photographic skills at Fullerton College and Cal State Fullerton before pursuing advanced studies at Claremont Graduate University, earning an MFA degree.
Formal Training & Artistic Influences: His MFA program solidified Camargo's commitment to critical engagement with visual culture and social issues. Key influences include John Divola’s exploration of absence and privilege—particularly his series *As Far As I Could Get*, which prompted Camargo to consider the role of race in artistic representation.
