The sculpture room of the Society Felix Meritis in Amsterdam, with portraits of the Commissioners and Directors of the Departments of Teekkenkunde, Letterkunde and Commerce and the Secretaries of the Society. In the hall and against the walls are many plaster models of antique statues, portrait busts and reliefs. In the front is an artist sketching. The artists present are, from left to right: J. Adami, J.P. Hibma (sitting), M. Kooy (sitting), Hidde Heeremiet, W.J. Bruggemeyer, Hendriik de Flines, A. Bruyn, G. Koek, Wouter Johannes van Troostwijk, Daniël Dupré (signing), Dirk Versteegh and in the middle group J.G. Biben, G.J. Palthe, P. Doublet, J. Pennis, C. Covens, Johannes Hermanus Molkenboer, A.J. Deyman, R. Hoyman, Adriaan de Lelie (sitting on the back), P. Pietersz Iz, Hermanus Numan, M. Romswinckel, G. van Haarst Az, E.P. Offerman, G. Swarth and in the right group C. Tweehuizen (the front figure in the door opening), J.W. Berntz, G. Bartline, Voord der K. K. P. J.
