Photography of Juana Dubreuil.
adolphe dubreuil (1844 –)
Adolphe Dubreuil (1844-Living) was a Peruvian photographer known for his 'sombre clarté' style & portraits of prominent figures. Rediscovered in 1988, his work showcases early photographic techniques like carbon and platinum printing.
Juana Dubreuil (Lima, 1885-19 ??) was a Peruvian painter, daughter of French migrants. She studied with the painter Teofilo Castillo in his workshop at Quinta Heeren House, where he taught outdoors. Dubreuil was part of a group of women artists who, based on their work, revealed the first advances towards the development of plastic arts with a Peruvian stamp.
