Andrzej Kałucki’s composition Wizards of the glass mountain is one of the largest in terms of size in the oeuvre of the artist. The form, made up of different types of coloured glass, is inscribed in a vertical rectangle enclosed by a mesh of metal joints. The materials used vary considerably in terms of texture and include: a smooth, clear glass, with streaks of pure colour tinted in the mass – as in the case of two quasi-human forms in the lower part; a strongly folded, bubbled glass, tinted with yellow paint – in the central part; and multi-coloured finely textured glass – in the margins. The base of the composition is made of a wooden board coated unevenly with black paint, with a number of holes drilled in it. The coping structure is diversified, in turn, by the graphic, oblong forms, intersecting at an angle, referring to the shape of lead joints connecting segments of a stained glass structure. [N.
