Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (1618-1682) was a celebrated Spanish Baroque painter known for his luminous religious scenes, tender genre paintings, and idealized depictions of everyday life in Seville.
The proclamation to Mary. On the left, the kneeling Mary behind a bookless lessonr, on the right, the kneeling angel with lily branch. Previously considered as a preliminary study for the performances in Amsterdam (SK-A-282) and Seville.
