A: Fitted, waist-length bodice, extended to hip in black silk taffeta; high round neck; saddle shoulder; long sleeves, deep vents at wrists; two diagonal thick welt pockets at collarbone; concealed center front hook-and-eye shoulder. B: Flared, below-knee length skirt, hip tucks set into 1-inch waistband; slash welt hip pockets; center back inverted box pleat hooking over zipper; attached black silk crepe slip.
