Dionys van Nijmegen (1705-1798) was a Dutch painter known for portraits, ceiling & wall decorations in the 18th century. Son of Elias van Nijmegen, he continued the family tradition and taught his son Gerard. His works reflect the decorative style of the period.
Portrait of Cornelis van der Pot (1736-1805). Koopman and poet in Rotterdam. Bust in oval, head turned right, paper in right hand. Part of a collection of portraits of Dutch poets.
