Jan Willem Pieneman (1779-1853) was a Dutch painter renowned for historical scenes of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands, portraits & allegorical works. Director of the Royal Academy & Rijksmuseum. Influenced by events like the Battle of Waterloo.

In the right hand a parasol, in the left hand a lorgon with gold chain. Right on the balustrade a garden vase with flowers.
