Brinno Raised upon the Shield, Otto van Veen, 1600 - 1613
Brinio is appointed commander by the Canine fanciers and raised on the shield. Brinio standing on a shield in the middle of a crowd, in the distance a burning castle. Third performance in a series of twelve scenes of the Batavier rebellion against the Romans (SK-A-421/432), purchased by the States General in 1613.
