Wygląd swej „chambretki (maleńkiego kącika dla mnie przeznaczonego)” utrwalił w kompozycji pastelowej, ale też opisywał w listach, m.in. do swego Wujostwa: „pokoik mój wygląda bardzo milutko – dwie białe zasłony przy drzwiach i koło łóżka - zasłony ubrane kwiatami, które mi ciocia przysłała”.
