Command staff in the right hand, with the left arm resting on a book with a paper on which the monogram of the VOC. Above the family weapon, under the arms of the Dutch East Indies, the Republic and Batavia. In the background, a ship at sea. Part of a series of portraits of the governors-general of the former Dutch East Indies.
