Muchacha en carrusel (Girl on Carousel) is a testimony of her artistic production that was acquired in 1994, as part of the collection that marked the beginning of the Museum of Art (MUSA). This piece displays a balanced composition, accurate drawing and harmonious colors, to capture a common fair scene with a close-up: a girl riding a horse spinning around on a carrousel, that machine that forms part of timeless childhood memories. The figure at the foreground, with a funny pose and a smile on her face, shows the happiness she seems to enjoy. The colors originate from softly blended primary shades that stand out on the background’s grayish green.
