Señor Teniente y Comandante Don Josef Estudillo With total humility I appeal to your pious nature in asking that you grant me the favor of allowing my son Antonio to sleep at my home. The principle motive that I have for bothering you about this matter is that I find myself in poor health, which at times makes it necessary for his mother to get up in the middle of the night for something that is needed. Consequently, she has had another accident in which she hit her head and her mind is not always clear. Second, Sir, I consider my son to be more ready for any crisis at my side than at the guardhouse. With your customary wisdom, pardon the annoyances of this most humble servant who kisses your hand.
