A hill with a human body shape in gray and a dark color, with a beige background.Cuacuauhtzin is a nahuatl word. It was the name of a poet and ruler of Tepechpan vassal of the lordship of Texcoco about a century before the arrival of the Hernan Cortés to this land. The end of the story of Cuacuauhtzin was his dead in battle betrayed to steal his fianze.In this litograph althought at first glance the ink looks like a shadow, paying attention inside are different figures. The most obvious is a large shell inthe middle, on its right side the face of a man lying. He wears a feathers headdress and in distributes the rest of the man and his war clothes in other places of the litograph.Luis Nishizawa was a painter sculptor, engraver and teacher. His work has the influence of Mexican school of painting (from the beginning of 20th century) and Japanese tradition, this one specially in his landscapes.
