Born in 1958 amidst the coastal beauty of Latakia, Syria, Nizar Sabour Al-Hassan has cultivated an artistic practice that serves as a profound dialogue between the human spirit and the physical world. After graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University in 1981, Al-Hassan sought to deepen his understanding of the metaphysical dimensions of creativity, eventually earning a PhD in Art Philosophy from the prestigious Strugunov Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts in Moscow.
