His artistic journey was profoundly shaped by Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, movements which instilled in him a fascination with light, color, and expressive brushstrokes – elements he skillfully incorporated into his distinctive style.- Early Influences: Pontoy’s formative years coincided with the burgeoning Impressionist movement led by Claude Monet and Pierre Auguste Renoir. These artists championed capturing fleeting moments of natural beauty, prioritizing atmospheric effects over meticulous detail.
